Shipping Information

We ship all in stock orders on the same or next business day

We can deliver your items to your home, work or P.O. Box addresses as well as to rural & regional areas. For peace of mind, all products are sent registered.

Australia Post Express Parcel.
•Goods are insured against loss or damage while in transit.
•No signature required. If no-one is home to sign for the delivery, then it can be picked up from your local Post Office. Can deliver to Post Office boxes.
•Estimated delivery times:
◦Victoria: 1 business days
◦Melbourne metropolitan areas: 3 business days
◦All other addresses around Australia: 1-3 business days

While we make every effort to deliver within our estimated process and dispatch times, all timeframes are indicative only. In particular, deliveries outside of major cities and towns within Australia may take longer than the timeframes above. During times of peak seasonal demand (especially Christmas) there may be slight delays in the dispatch of your order, so please allow extra time for delivery. We only dispatch goods upon receipt of cleared funds. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform Capital Smarthomes, if an order does not arrive or if you believe the contents of your order are incorrect. Once we learn an order has not arrived by the due date, we will lodge an enquiry with Australia Post to ensure delivery occurs as soon as possible. Please allow up to the maximum estimated days for delivery. Also note that if an item has been lost in transit or if you have received an incorrect order, we may not dispatch correct or replacement items immediately. Items will be dispatched at our discretion. You agree that when our carrier is satisfied that the order has been delivered, delivery of the order has taken place within the terms of the purchase agreement between you and us. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, you agree that late delivery does not constitute a failure of our agreement, and does not entitle you to cancel an order. We will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from a late delivery nor will we accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has taken place.

Warranty and Return Policy

Warranty

Capital Smarthomes warrants that any product sold by Capital Smarthomes website will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from your invoice/receipt date. If any defects in materials or workmanship in an item we have sold are identified and notified to us within this warranty period then we will, at our option, either repair or replace the product, or refund your money and take back the product. Capital Smarthomes does not accept any liability beyond this, and does not accept any liability for consequential loss. Our liability under this warranty is subject to Capital Smarthomes being satisfied that a defect was caused by defective workmanship or materials, and was not caused by or substantially contributed to by other factors, or circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to), repair, accidental or malicious damage, or any neglect, misuse or excessive use. Please note that all warranty claims and returns must be accompanied by a valid invoice/receipt. The Buyer will be credited for shipping charges on all returned shipments, via store.capitalsmarthomes.com.au discount coupons, up to the regular Australia Post shipment fee for the returned items weight.

"Damaged on Arrival" and warranty returns

Please carefully inspect your item(s) on arrival. If for some reason your item(s) arrive in a damaged state, or you believe they have been incorrectly dispatched, please contact us at info@capitalsmarthomes.com.au within 48 hours of receipt of your item(s). At our option, we will either refund you the appropriate amount in the same manner that you paid us, or exchange the product (subject to product availability) free of delivery charges. You will still be liable for the delivery charge associated with your original order and where we are providing free return delivery it is at our sole discretion what delivery service is chosen. The Buyer is responsible for any shipping charges and risk of loss or damage on all return shipments. Capital Smarthomes will endeavour to process all returned items within 3 business days of receipt. Please allow 2 weeks for refunds from the time we have received returned goods and 4 weeks for credit to appear on your bank statements. We cannot refund to a different credit card to the one used when the purchase was made. A customer service representative will endeavour to communicate by e-mail the successful processing of all refunds, exchanges and warranty claims. The Buyer will be credited for shipping charges on all returned shipments, via store.capitalsmarthomes.com.au discount coupons, up to the regular Australia Post shipment fee for the returned items weight.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and appreciate your business. At no time do we ever provide your account, contact, email address or payment information to any third party unless absolutely necessary to process your order or organize the delivery.

Payment information. We do not store your payment information on our website or collect any payment information.

Use of Cookies. Our shopping cart and login system relies on cookies protocol to track shopping cart and user information. These cookies are not permanent and will eventually expire. Although they are not permanent, your browser security settings must be set to allow cookies for you to place orders at our site.

Automatic information. Our servers like most others, track IP addresses and referring pages to help with site maintenance and improvements. This data is viewed only as anonymous statistics to show the busiest times of the day or week, pages with errors and how effective our advertising has been. This information is not used for any other purpose.

Email communication. This information allows us to process and fulfil your order and to notify you of your order status. To help us make e-mails more productive to improve service and your shopping experience, we sometimes send you newsletters of our services and products, notifications of changes to our policies, and order confirmations. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us, other than order notifications and receipts, please adjust your "Subscription" preferences by logging into your account.

Personal Information - Ordering process. We store information from your order to allow us to aid you with customer service issues and to track sales statistics. Again, this information is regarded as confidential, is for our internal use only and will never be disclosed to other parties.
